On December !4 the same day sandy occured in China a 36 year old enetered a grammar school and slashed 8 kids in the head with a knife . This is Chinas fourth time this year a person has attacked students with a kniife or wsords . You ask why they use a knife or sword its simple China has a gun ban . You can read about it on the web foreign news.
 
All that would be relevant if the first school shooting hadnt happened in 1966 by a man who i believe was born in 1942.
 
I agree totally also mr.taylor, I raised my kids the old fashioned way also,and they turned out not bad,but the bad part is ,they seem like the weird one now. Thanks
 
wikipeda school shootings the first is in 1700 and has went virtually ever year to present. Its not a new problem just one that now gets alot of news media
 
And the Oklahoma bombing also killed kids and with a bomb made with common farm products. It ain't the weapon , it's the idiot we need to remove. How many of you parents scolded your kids for being a "tattle tale" when they were young and telling on their siblings????? I have two sets of "friends" that would scold the tattle tale daughter more than the perpetrator son doing wrong. Might be something we want to seriously re-think. Unfortunately kids are taught that "tattleing" or " narcing" on someone is wrong and un-cool. We are paying the price now. How many of you under the age of 50 will call the police if you suspect the vacant house down the road from you is drug selling house??? Not many I suspect until you discover a few little holes in your siding on your house.Unfortunately "minding ones own bussiness" can get you killed these days. It just might be your own life you save by getting involved.
 
You are right on! Two of the worst mass murders we have had in America were not by guns.
The Oklahoma bombing and of course 9/11.
Until we get adults to raise children and not children raising children this problem will only get worse. I bet we would be amazed at the number of murder suicides that occur on our highways each year.
 
Yup, don't forget to top it all of with a good realistic violent video game to teach killing is desirable. Why are we banning the tool of the criminal instead of the training manual? Laws are for law abiding citizens, criminals are such because they don't follow laws. And yes, Hitler, elected by his people and then, wow! Wake up America!!!! We the people are the government, remember high school civics? Lets act like it! Maybe time for some non politicians to take over and lead by example and common sense. Unfortantly that is not common any more. It is time to band together and remember this is the greatest place on earth and act like it. God bless that little town in a CN and may they be able to return to a dot on the map just like they were Thursday.
 
Why not give every adult in a school a tazer gun like the police do. It"s non lethal force that will stunn even a drug raged maniac.
 
Mr. Taylor is right.....this "passive attitude" we're supposed to take is ruining our country and making us fair game for some clever tyrant to come along and suddenly gain control of everything we hold precious. There must be some "policing in our society" or we will go the way of other nations that collapsed when decency and discipline were discarded. The future of our society rests in the character of our children, they must be raised properly and carefully. The primary responsibility of raising children is the duty of parents, assisted by school teachers and all other adult members of society, even police, that come in contact with the children. In reality, it's EVERYONE'S job.
