Farmall 460 puller custom wide front

I want to build a 460 puller and I want to build a wide front end from a front end running gear. I havent bought the tractor yet. Is it easier to start with a 460 that has a factory wide front, or a narrow front?

Ive built several custom bolsters with light wide fronts and rack and pinion steering. Its easier and lighter to just scrap the whole thing

You can go either way. I prefer wide fronts over trikes because its easier to get rid of that heavy piece of cast iron called the upper bolster. I did fabricate a narrow front once with a manual gear box, a front spindle from a 1/2 ton 10 bolt chevy front, the axle stub and drive puck, and the hub. It was a chore and swore id never do that again.
