I have a set of 18.4-38 bfg power grip 8 ply about 40% and im
wounderinr if they will make very good pullers. I plan on cutting
them. Thanks in advance

IMHO, the BFs are very good pullers if cut properly. The big three seem to be Firestone, Armstrong and BFs. You will find valid arguments from satisfied pullers for any of them.

Bear in mind that what we consider offbrands often are made by the majors and rebranded and have identical tread design. I have seen Safemarks do well. There will be many opinions offered and all valid.

In my opinion , and that's all it is, 40% may be just a bit more tread than you need to do well on most tracks but would be excellent for some tracks.

I like the BFG tires and have had good luck with them. One thing that makes them better is they have,if my memory is correct, three more bars than a Firestone and they are considerably lighter.
