Jr. won both sides and didn't do a pull off, he picked the 77 for first and the 460 for second, neither tractor hooked to the sled.
 
those are 2 really good tractors!!

How many were in the class? I bet if there was a for sale sign on them he would not have had to haul them home. :wink:

How did the 880 Olivers from Bobby Hinton or Randy Blanchard do?

know how anybody placed. But I did hear their
names.
 
Sorry guys wrong class. There wasn't that many in the 4250. I was 39 and I am going to guess 70. And yes I was no threat! :) Vic
 
Oh Yes, inquiring minds want to know!!!! I think it depends which motor is in it: a 77, 88,310,320.... 8)
 
Never understood why places allow "so" much over. Why call it 4250. Might as well call it 4290! Defeats having a said weight class in my opinion. But I weight up to what they allow too.
 
if you allow 10 over, they're going to use that 10. if you allow 500 over, they'll use all 500. just call it what it is and be done with it IMO.

From what I see 1% is the norm, scales will vary. You may weigh on the same 3-4 scales all season and be good with them, Then drive 700 miles and be two pounds over after removing everything but your undershorts. Would you be disappointed when they tell you to borrow weights and go up 1000?
 
I will add my comments, not to sound smart but Jr is probably one of the best at setting up his tractor to fit the situation, it doesn't take tremendous hp to win on that track. In other words he is just a good puller and he has many hooks under his belt. Same goes for Jim Benjamin who has won the big KOH . Like 4 times. Practice makes perfect.
