Well the first thing they give a t-shirt for placing. Second were did all the money go? Third left in a ambulance because the smoke was so mad. Do I need to keep going.

You Shure Needed to Put Weight on the Front in Div 3,4,5 on the Big Sled!

I Thought it was A Good Pull But i Needed to leave early afternoon to go Back Home to Pennsylvaina and it was only a Little Bit Smokey Then!

Well "Big Deere" have you ever hosted one or are you one to sit back and complain?? From what I was told, lots of money involved to host one of these events. Who pays for the shirts, building rental, sled, fuel for all the equipment, advertising for the event, pays the organization their portion per hook fee, gets all the help needed to try and make it run smoothly??? Oh yah, it doesn't come free, maybe that is where the money goes. And then the man who left in the ambulance had a case of pneumonia and some leg issues. Maybe you need to get your facts first!!! The gentleman had lots of good assistance from everyone in helping him and his female companion. I was told the smoke issue was a motor going out the day before with an electrician working 10 hrs to try and get it going and no luck. Don't think I have been to a perfect pull yet but it seems like everyone worked hard to make it run smoothly!!

I am with big Deere on this. Been to other natpa pulls and
Been handed money. Guess 37 farmhand was the guy who
Made off with all the money.

they did a great job with the pull. track pulled tough! sometimes can't help it went stuff (fan) breaks. they had a smooth run event. great jon chris, gary, and staff!

Enough with the book ole farmhand. How does it take 10 hrs to fix a fan? Glad they didn't have a whole building of hogs they would I'd all died. Proubly One of the staff members in charge.

Big Deere.....word of advice, go play with the big dogs if ya wanna go professional and make money! I personally would prefer a shirt versus a plaque or trophy that collects dust or lays around. Great efforts to all involved in this weekends pull! Don't let the negativity ruin future events.

In my opinion- I thought it was one of the better pulls. I have known Gary and Chris and pulled with them for several years- both real good guys. If you are in this for the money, you have a problem. They took a big chance to put it on and I m proud they did. I guarantee you they did'nt do it to make money. I'm just glad to have a place to go pull. As for the smoke, you don't have to stay in there all the time- just go outside for a while. I think we should be supportive of the promoters instead of bashing them. I for one want to continue to have pulls to attend.

Yes, Johhnny Deeerie boy, cash is king!! That is why you are driving a cheap old John Deere. Don't take much money to get them running. I heard they were trying to get enough of your money to build their wives DIV IV tractors, lol. Maybe take the plung and host one yourself!!

It takes a lot of time and money to put on a event. It seems when money enters the mix things change and fun becomes secondary.Anyone that pulls antique tractors cant be doing it for the money and the pros cant make much either as it has never been a cheap sport. My neighbor made a million dollars racing cars but he started with two.

Now I'm not here to start stuff with the wives. I just want to know where all the money went? The building was not all that much blade tractor donated $5 for natpa and how many hooks? Somebody made some cash I'm not saying a lot but they did make something.

Why is it I always here complaining about NATPA, and the only thing you here about USAP is how great the pull was, and looking forward to the next 1...

Big Deere, Go to Princeton after thanksgiving instead of Wauseon

My guess is the complainers were given anything and
everything they ever wanted. $hit happens, parts break,
engines produce exhaust smoke. I'm thankful to all who put
on any pull. They bust there rump and than people bad mouth.
Apparently they didnt or couldn't hang with the big boys. Natpa
is not perfect but they put pulls on for the people. There rules
are FAIR! It's kind of the same concept of being a nice guy and
going out of your way for someone else you don't know and
misplacing a part you have no use for and then being bad
mouthed over a 20 dollar part? Grow up time people. Your
going to kill this sport

I will mostly agree with you Josh, but this smoke-exhaust thing has gotten out of hand some places and will lead to more EPA type supervision that has already shut down some pulls.Nothing against NATPA,but some of the pull promoters need to clean their acts up.

Josh, did you happen to get in touch with Brad B. on the $20 or $250 part, it cost him not me, actually it did cost me , it was suppose to be an 88 pto shaft.... Turns out it was for a 77.... Not your fault, but when you get parts from people that say what they are not and then disappear in transit.... It chaps my A$$

To Andrew Taylor & family- I never intended to insult your sons, but evidently I did and you took it that way. I apologize to your sons-sorry I dont know their names. I wouldn't intentionaly hurt children. At the time I said what I did you were argueing with a friend of mine and I was probably in a bad mood. Tractor pulling is supposed to be a hobby and fun. I try to treat it that way. I have never thought that how a persons tractor runs or pulls has anything to do with how much money they have or their social status. Now--About you calling me elderly, old man,old fool, ready for the grave,etc.-I don't know how old you think I am but I'm going to tell you--I'm 58 yrs old. Now if you think that is about dead with old age-so be it-but I don't think so. So let's please drop all this and get on with life. Happy Thanksgiving, Jack Barham

Yep. Heading down Friday. I've been a treasurer of a club guys. I don't think NATPA is pocketing a ton of cash. It takes a lot of dough to do a big indoor pull with an automated sled etc.

It makes ours look like a pedal pull. 300 hooks has been about the limit for CAFPC here in Michigan at our biggest outdoor summer pull. Low overhead, good location, and members keeps us going.

Hey big Deere don't U think it is kind off funny the "big boys" won't respond w any answers on the money issue they just talk about how great they r
