youd probably be better off using a 262 buda or maybe a hercules like the newer cockshutts.

Cockshutt 30 is a 4 cyclinder. would not be fun trying to get a 262 6 cylinder in there.

ive seen one with 262. perhaps it was a 40 disguised as a 30. im not a cockshutt expert. all i know is the allis have a hard time keeping up these days.

I never saw it (ya, I know) but I talked to a guy that said he put a 6B230 in a 30 chassis. He said he used the 4B153 bellhousing, flywheel and starter. He said the engine fit over the top of the steering gear. I don"t know where he put the radiator.

There's a guy here local to me in TN that put a 40 motor in a 30. He said it wasn't too bad but took some work. I haven't seen the tractor run in several years.
