Does anyone have a good set of Primary reduction gears (matching set), that I could buy to put in an early styled A to make it a "LOW" low gear like the late styled A are?? Phone numbers appreciated and prices prefered.

You can use the reduction and pulley gear out of late A"s to slow it down some, but wont get you to 1 1/2 mph creeper gear.

As Toot said, it won't slow you down as much as you'd like. That being said, speed is your friend on the track, concentrate on giving it a bigger set of balls and run the gear you have, or better yet, run second. Mike

I dont think my 56 hp motor could stand any more speed. I run 5000# class in low gear at wide open and it is all it wants. I thought that if I could slow it down alittle and use more RPM I could do better.

Not sure where you are. I have a set I was told that were the same out of a 60. Im in North Texas. 817 307 335four JJ

At 56 horse I think the reduction gears would work great for you. I pull a 38 A with 468 cubes and I put the gears in out of a late A and it helped allot going from 2nd to 3rd rear in #5000 class.
