JD A on a diet

Has anyone got some light weight stuff FOR CHEEP! that i might purchase for my '45 A? I need to get some weight off the back so I can use it on the front to keep it down in 4500#.
Parts like aluminum rear covers, light weight seat, floor pans, and any ideas you guys and gals have is appreciated.....

The cheapest would be to scour junkyards and make stuff yourself. How about finding an old aluminum diamond plated tool box and cut out a chuck to use as a flatback?

The wheels areinverted stamped steel wheels and the axles only ssitck out about 3 inches now and the wheels wont go in fany farther since the tire will hit the clutch
But good idea keep the suggestions coming.

how serious do you want to get? axle oil weighs about 7 lbs per gallon. 4 tubes off moly grease will replace all the oil in your rear axle and only weighs 1 lbs a tube. Our A jd now weighs 3250 with 16.9x38 tires. we have a number of very inexpensive parts available that can help make this happen. E- mail is open.
