how serious do you want to get? axle oil weighs about 7 lbs per gallon. 4 tubes off moly grease will replace all the oil in your rear axle and only weighs 1 lbs a tube. Our A jd now weighs 3250 with 16.9x38 tires. we have a number of very inexpensive parts available that can help make this happen. E- mail is open.

The cheapest would be to scour junkyards and make stuff yourself. How about finding an old aluminum diamond plated tool box and cut out a chuck to use as a flatback?

Just a quick thread jack. What's lighter, a cast or pressed frame? Battery box or pedistal mounted seat?
