Looking for pics of a lightened front fuel tank support or custom built support for a farmall m. Would like to keep both gauges.

How lightened? The 1939 through 40-41? had a pressed steel support versus the cast iron one that they had later tractors. A pressed steel one off a W6 could be made to work. I have one off a W6 I would par with.

Looking for ideas on a custom made one. I would somehow have to add a steering shaft support to a W6 tank mount.

I made one out of 3/16 flat steel. Works very nicely and weighs just a few lbs. I'll get some pics up soon.

you can lighten the stock er by grinding or cutting out the center stuff and just having the square hollow....or make one like said above...use light weight steel and use light angle just taper it down the farther it goes out to were bolts go threw tank....if your that far take alum or light steel bearing support and intall new brearing and use chromoly tubing you can buy the unaversals and everything you need to make you own steering shaft running down threw also....
