I want to speed up a cockshutt 40, does anyone have any information on optional ring and pinion combinations, or who would be the best to source for custom gearing options. Thanks, |

| You can speed the constant mesh gears up fairly easy. Call Modern Machine @ 765-934-3110 |

| There are some serial number breaks and some different transmission gears from other model Cockshutt tractors that carried the same rear end style. Are you trying to speed up one gear or the whole range? An SCS or Profab in front or in place of trans might be cheaper than a case full of custom gears. I have several complete tractors that are going to get scrapped this winter. Jeff 308-940-0255 |

| i looked into it years back never found another ring/pinion combo that would speed it up much. custom gears may be the only option, maybe someone else could jump in with that info I never dug too deep into that. |
