Lookin at starting to round up parts to build a hot stock puller. Im going to use a G moline for a start point. I am going to make longer frame rails an use a 6 cylinder engine. My question is what combination of crankcase, crank shaft should i look for. Want to use 800 jugs an head but not 800 crankcase to save weight. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated

Why make frame rails when you can use a GBD, GVI, G705, or G707 6 cylinder frame that bolt right on? Unless you want something lighter of course. Actually the stock ones are not that heavy.

I Guess I was just planning on making aluminum rails and aluminum front end with rack and pinion steering. Looking to save as much front weight as possible an still use the g radiator. Gonna be a project on the back burner for a while. just want to start looking for the parts I will need.

The 605 will bolt to the G housing with no mods. I can make anything you want. I have splined hubs that will slip on with no welding. Email me ill send you pics. Thanks joe.

You make Weld on or clamp on hubs? Is the 605 case better than a 504 case with 605 crank? I have a skeleton tractor found an a large bellhousing if thats the way to go. Thinking of staying at 3000 rpm or less. Aiming for a 5500 or 6000 lb class. From what ive seen it will take 15 to 18mph to compete. How fast is 4th gear at 3000 rpm with 18.4 38s? Will i need a 4th an half gear?

18.4x38 @ 3000rpm 4th gear = 17MPH
18.4x38 @ 2700rpm 4th gear = 15MPH

A 605 crankcase and a set of my 9 bolt hubs for a good start.
