am planning on doing work on my m 248 this winter
I plan to sleeve t0 4" getting 450 lp head & 4' pop up postons
can any one tell me if this a good combo?

What cam, valve springs and mechanical compression ratio?
Doing any porting or polishing? What division , weight class
and type of track? Expected mph? How deep are you
pockets?

what brand of pistons are you going to get? Some pistons (maybe M&W or Firecrater, not sure) will interfere with the valves when you install a LP head, especially if you have a high lift cam, or high ratio rockers. You may need to clearence the dome on the piston a little.

Do some porting to the head, add a good cam, tune up the carb, dist, and gov, and that is about as good of a "budget" build as you can get.
