after about 5 years of pulling on my unstyled a decided its finaly time for an up grade in the crank area, its a 37 us going with a later a crank and an offset grind for an 1" stroke increase currently running with m/w style pistons 125 over thinking about modifying the pistos to go further up in the block to save $ or going with 250 over pistons from extreme and boring the block any one have suggestions

josh made 5.75 airplane pistons for my a..why dont you bore it out and i can get you new 70 al pistons..with offset crank..cam..rockers it run really good

If you want to parade it and pull it and want it to last don't offset the crank. Your making it weaker. Have a 8 inch crank made with the a journal and you can still use your pistons with relocating oil ring, it will make an honest 60+ hp with some head work and a good cam

Just asking....why would offsetting a crank be weaker vs. stroking? I was thinking the exact opposite.

An offset grind is turning the original journal down on one side to a smaller diameter and I imagine he was either going to be running a 2.25 or 2.5 journal. My suggestion would still be a 3 inch journal. The bigger the stronger.

Everyone will tell you the same thing and they're right, spend the money stroking the crank something worthwhile; don't stop at 1 inch
