If you weighed in at 10,100 that would mean that you pulled in 10,500 or 11,000 or 11,500, which puts you at a disadvantage because you are light. So first and most important is to loose 100lbs. so that you can pull 10,000. With a fresh motor you should be able to pull 4th gear no problem, maybe even fifth. I pull 10,000 in sixth and always spin out with my Ford but the fuel is turned up. Momentum is a very big factor so get as much of it as you can, within the rules of course.

Weight classes vary but usually run by 500 lb increments to about 6,000 then by 1,000 to 10,000 then 1,500 to 13,000. Some pulls have speed limits, hitch height usually limited to 20 inches. Search archives or google MO Brush pullers and see if you can get in touch with them.

20 inch drawbar.speed limit is around 10-13 i think.no cut tires...you are allowed to have turbos...and i think thats about it.thanks
