Theres a built 1100 Massey diesel puller at the pulloff site..It weighs 6000 lbs bare and can be bought for $1.00 a pound..

If I wasnt knee deep in another pulling tractor I"d buy this one myself for several 10 mph classes that are pulled in my area..

just too far to drive at this time but its a heckuva deal for someone. Dang sure can't build one for the money.

I"m trying to pull a 180 AC on alky but keep springing or breaking crankshafts..I waited a year on the billet main caps and girdle..3 runs later I have another sprung crank..The last time out it also got some valve springs..I dont have deep pockets so a billet crank is out..It will turn over 6000 and spins a Holset HX60..

We still pull the Oliver 1950 locally..

We have a 6250 lb and 8000 lb 10 mph class in my area and that 1100 Massey would be a great one for them..I have several friends with a 8000 Ford and a 9600 Ford that would love for me to come and play with them..

At the present time a 686 IH is 2 points ahead of the 8000 Ford at 6250 lbs...At 8000 lbs the 9600 Ford is 12 pts ahead of the 8000 Ford..

I have resisted dialing the number because it would possibly cause a divorce..

Nice looking project. Is it always the same spot (rod or main) on the crank that "sprung" (spun a bearing?)? Have you considered using ARP studs in the bottom end?

i know what you mean about being knee deep in a tractor,i got a farmall h that im building gonne put a stroker kit in it or else i would buy that massey thats a great deal, maybe when i harvest my soy beans and corn i could buy it.i know i could spend 6000 on my massey in a heart beat! Lol. thanks though.

I"m not spinning bearings..The crank is bending...That wipes out the main bearings after a few runs..The rod bearings are always OK..

You cant no longer buy a new 301 AC crank..The used ones are 30-45 years old and are fatigued....The last crank was from a M2 Gleaner combine and was sprung .008 but the machine shop didnt tell me at that time and straightened it..I"m guessing it bent right back..

Blaine give me a call. You might be surprised to find out that I now have an orange one in the stable as well and have some AC alky parts that I willing to part with reasonably.

A counterweighted crank came with the tractor when I bought it and it was bent .017...That of course was with no billet main caps and girdle..

Greg,I saw a video of the 8010 AC...Looks good..I'll write your phone # down but I'm thinking of selling the 180...I'll decide this winter..
