Can you remove the pto and hydraulic components off a JD B and still pull in a stock spearing antique class? |

| You can remove the power trol assembly and put a flat back cover on. Some factory flat backs have holes for ptos some dont. I think you lose almost 175 pounds. |

| Check the club where you're gonna pull. Every club has diffferent rules. Some clubs will only allow tractors with working pto's in case any want to challenge their power output. Most will also say no more than some% over factory hp. and no more than some% over factory rpms.
But each place has its own rules. |

| I maybe mistaken here, but I do believe that they made tractors to be used in the wheatlands that did not have anything but a plain cover on the back. Perhaps someone would give us both information here. ( I have seen a couple of A s that had plain covers. |

| I was told that you had option back then when buying them new..... im only 32..lol...that you could buy them with pto or it was alot cheaper if you did not want pto and they just had a flat plate from factory....farmer saved 6-700 dollars or something....a older gentlemen told me that not to long ago.... the main stuff was there you just had to buy housing and shaft to bolt in.....if you wanted pto later but was like 1,000 to buy new later....? from john deere not shure on prices but thats what i was told.... kelly |
