Question for you guys. If I put say 500 lbs of fluid in my tires and removed 500 lbs of wheel weight would my traction be better, worst, or the same? |

| I have partially filled tires & due to 50% less hp & thus having to run in low gear, still outpull many guys & even win or 2ndhave place alot. I NEVER spin out, they do. As for it not contouring to the ground- wth? There is still AIR in most of the tire, & for that matter throw a half-full hot water bag over a beer can & see if it conforms or stays rigid. LoL! |

| I"m not a fan of fluid in higher speed classes, but I"ve got a couple of tractors that I pull in 3-4 mph classes that have fluid ballast. Both of these tractors have numerous wins and one has been club champion a couple of times. Kip |

| Fluid doesn"t compress like air, so your tires won"t contour to the ground. |

| | In a row crop application the fluid will give a better ride and slightly better traction, that's why they started using it. It works like the centra-matic wheel balancers they have today. But I doubt that a partial fill would do you much good. I've had partially-filled tires that, going down the road, the tractor would feel like the rear end was stepping out to the left, then right, left, right, didn't feel it so much at lower speeds, but I would guess it's still doing it. And as said before, you're stuck with it, you can still unbolt weights. |

| The traction of weight from fluid vs hard weight is the same. HOWEVER the tractor rise would be drasticlly different since the weight isnt on the sprung weight. |

| Opinions on fluid differ but fluid in tires moves around and causes traction problems and if u wanna take off wheel weights u take em off....fluid is stuck in there...good luck man |
