Case Puller question

Hey Everyone

I am building a Case tractor for the pull season next year and I plan on using the Case 504 in a Case 900 tractor. The question I have is will the 900 provide enough gears for that much power or should I instead use a Case 800 or 830 with the Dual range? Any input or comments are appreciated! Thanks!

You're going to have a hard time putting a 504 into a 900 as it has a wet clutch and the bell housing won't match the engine.

about easiest to use a 930 8 spd. a 900 or 930 6 spd. requires an adapter, if you want less weight use an 830 rear, there are center section differences in length between the two, I was told that some Case engineer studied the 930 chain drive rear end and determined that it was built heavy enough to withstand 200 hp continuously.

I can save you a lot of work. I have a 900 that i will sell big cube runs well Weighs 5000 lbs bare.

Any one try to put a 504 Case in a MM G1000? It came up,the other day. Any input on the bell housings?

A 7,8,9,1030 rear will work so will a 7,8,9,1070 rear. An 1175 rear will to but you have to get axles and some other parts from a none planetary rear to make it work. If you use a 4 cylinder rear you may need to get a 6 cylinder bell housing to accommodate your clutch depending on what you want to do. You will also need to get an input shaft from a 6 cylinder if you use a 4 cylinder rear and 6 the cylinder bell housing. There are also so gearing choices available in these rearends depending on what you are doing. I have a 730 rear here that would be a really good rear end for pulling. There is alot done to it already. Let me know if you are interested. Also have a block with 5.125 sleeves in it and a 6 inch crank. All are priced right

So an 800 and 830 will both work? I realize some mods will have to be made but will it be easier to do with the 800's? Some pics would be nice of what your offering sounds like it would be what I need! where you located? Thanks to all for the suggestions and posts! Very good information!

Thanks for the offer but the work is half the fun for me I really enjoy doing it!! Thanks to everyone also this has been very helpful!
