I have a big bore m block that needs new sleeves. It has been hardblocked in the past. Can it be resleeved or is it junk.

Yes bore the sleeve thin then run a welding beed up the inside of the sleeve to draw the sleeve take a car axle and sledge hammer to knock it right out . then happy work with a air chisle removing the hard block once the sleeve is out.

Mitch is right. I have just done it once, on a WD block. The guy before me had used sleeves to thin and had welded them in at the bottom. Poor deal. I chiseled them out with a impact. Then chiseled out the hard block, pretty easy. The next sleeves I put in were diesel sleeves, bored the block to 0 tolerance, put the sleeves in the deep freeze and pressed them real quick. Honed it the last 2 thousandth. Didn't hard block it again. But had to run a few little water lines around because there is no room for the water to go around the sleeves. You can plow with it now, seems to run cooler than a stock one. Vic
