Jack’s sleeved block ring seal question John Deere G

I have a sleeved jack’s block in my G and I have had some trouble sealing the rings. I’m just curious if anyone else out there has had this same problem and what are some suggestions? I’m running step cut, gapless rings with 0.016 piston to wall clearance. The tractor pulls great with good power but it just smokes a good bit. Thanks in advance.
 
Had the same in an A. Some will smoke, others won't. Just luck of the draw. Like other guy said-let it smoke. Bet you still got power! :)
 
What grit did they finish hone the cylinder walls with? Have
seen many that are wrong. Old cast rings handle 180 grit but
Moly rings need 300-600 grit. Also it needs to be pulled hard
for an hour or two on a belt or drawbar load & get up to
190+ temp.

I can't remember the roughness that the cylinder walls were honed to without going back and looking at my notes but I do remember that Jack said he diamond honed them. My G also has a factor waterpump so getting it up to 190 degrees has been a little bit of a challenge too. I put it on the dyno for an hour with a blanket over the front and it only got to about 170.
 
I had trouble seating my Oliver I thought. finally
took the head of and had a better valve seal put in.
that took care of the oil problem . Big pistons
often suck the oil past the guide seals .
