Carb recommendation

IF you have a 1000 cube Case and don't know how to fuel it, I guess my question is, what are you doing with a 1000 cube Case? This, in case you haven't noticed, is not the people to ask.

(quoted from post at 19:08:14 07/02/11) I have a 1000 cubic inch 6 cylinder case engine, what would you all recommend for a carb to feed this beast

What are you allowed for manifolding, surely you know that the stock cast iron will be woefully restrictive. The most common readily available for that size engine would be the Stromberg 9 on homemade header type manifolding. Maybe Travis Mahr will chime in, he's running something similar to what you describe and I think he;s running a 9. An understanding of how to compute airflow requirements and a calculator will serve you well, once that isw known then matching the right carb will be easier. mEl

you can be an a$$.I bet you got help with that w9.maybe you should have. then you would have only had to buy one set of pistons?

Ha!Ha! Do you feel better now Bob oh. What a funny name. Don't you think it a little odd that a person would be building an engine that size and not know what carb to use? And to resort to getting on here to ask? I guess I was a little rude but a good friend that did a lot of my engine work died yesterday and I am pretty bummed out.
