I'm sure he'll see this post Mitch, Was hoping you could point him in the right direction starter wise. We had a good day in Pa for the Cases. Started running that identical distributor setup at least 10 yrs ago on our DC, all most tractors ever need.mEl

I told him what I did to get mine to start with a starter . I think it will work for him but you never no untill you try .

(quoted from post at 21:16:23 06/25/11) How many trophys did you bag Mel?

Mitch, did not count them and up here it's just ribbons, pbly a half dozen or so and We are just building for others right now. Our newest, a 400 moderate cube Case got lucky with a beautiful run and beat a terrific running big cube M by 21 ft. Good balance and double cut 18.4X38s that grabbed the track. A good Hi RPM run in 3rd gear was good enough, the customer is brand new to this tractor and listening and learnig well. On this track I suspect he could have gone 4th but as I said , he as well as ourselves is just learning the tractor. A high speed jet adjustment by the track seemed to really pump up the top rpm range by getting more fuel for a W/O throttle plate. I was glad to see the Allis boys up here in our neck of the woods and enjoyed there eagerness to talk tractor. I think they would attest to our group of tractors strength on the track. mEl

Mitch, they're at it today at Hughesville, Pa. A 3.5 and 6 MPH event. 6 being more like 9 but we like that as fewer will run 9 than 6. mEl

There were 3.5 and unlimiter rpm any gear. Gonna guess the better runners were at 10-15 mph ex the v8's
