I got my crankcase over off doing some things to get ready for this next season and I noticed as i would turn the crank by hand i could hear air slipping by the pistons. The #2 piston was worse than the #1 piston. When i look up in the jugs the honing marks are still visible but if I run my hand across the jugs feel smooth. On the #1 i can feel an edge where the oil ring stops but on the #2 I can't. I only hooked 7 times last year, is it not broken in yet? Is it normal for this new of an engine?
Maybe I am just freaking myself out but would like to know if there is something i should be worried about before it comes out this year. Also is there anything i can look for to make sure everything is fine while I got the cover off.

Thanks

I would say its normal for a new engine to do that even if it doesnt sit all winter, when they sit the oil runs off rings and theres nothing to fill voids so air easily passes by rings. Let it run a while.

Thanks josh, i figured it was a combo of being too new yet and sitting since the last pull in september last year just wanted to make sure before I close it all back up
