Hello,
I was told they can be reused when changing heads often( pulling purpose).
Is there an outlet for copper head gaskets for a John Deere A ( styled or unstyled)?
Can anyone give me information on the benefits of using a copper head gasket or spec. I should be looking for when purchasing one?
Thanks

well id say you did something wrong then cause they are used on
automotive race engines all the time with far more cyl pressure than
your G. That said i myself would not use one.

i have been told the same thing you can take it off and heat the entire gasket to expand the metal then put it back on

I know someone that reuses his copper head gasket all the time on
a high rpm 6 cyl alky burner with fire rings in the head..

We create copper head gaskets for the 2 cylinder tractors along with many others. The copper gaskets can be reused providing the are re- annealed. This is a process of heating them with a rose bud in order to resoften the copper. Most of the problems of leaking gaskets are a cause of improper torqueing or surface issues. If you are interested, I can be reached at (763)350-0555. Thanks.
