1948 jd g ideas??

Have a g with 8" stroke, bored .125 over. Pistons come almost to the end of block. Checked compression and has 230# pressure. Pistons are aluminum high compression and are dished inward towards the middle. Have a good cam that fits the tractor well. Wanting to try something different to gain some more power. Not interested in stroking any longer and grinding on the case. I run styled g head, but have a flat head laying around. Also have a spare block. How much more can I bore the block and run different pistons? What about running the flat head instead? Have seen guys run spark plugs on top of the head, would this help any? Any ideas would be great. Can I gain much more power with boring and changing to flat head or not gain any and keep it the same. Done well this year but ran out of power a few times. I run 15.5x38 top cuts and 16.9x38 uncut tires. What should I do? Who could I contact?
