I am currently using a #3 power block and I want to go to a 6.5 bore can it be done. Murphy's say i have to redrill for #1 or #2 block.

Are you wanting to use one of their blocks?? Depends on what crankcase bolt pattern they have.. could have big sleaves welded into your block..

Murphys will give you a #1 block and a jig to drill new holes in your crankcase to fit the new block.

The reason for using the earlier block-crankcase bolt pattern is because the larger sleeves will not fit in the confines of the late A/60 bolt pattern. Remember there 8 bolts to deal with instead of 6, and the upper side bolts are the problem. Hope this explains things. Mike
