oliver distributor

just my 2 cents; anything Delco electrical is much better then anything Holly electrical. I've held this point of view ever since IH used either/or in their gas engine trucks. I also include Leece/Neville in the dislike column.

it's been 15 years but the hei is close, you need to put the Oliver drive on the shaft and if I remember re drill the shaft and rivet in a new pin or maybe use a roll pin, you need one from a 250 inline, one out of a v6 is too short

If you use the big HEI dist off of a 292 chevy, you have to put a 1" thick spacer between the base of the dist and the block or the distributor cab will hit the block. Just take an old Delco, put new bushings and new points in it and put a MSD box on it. Can't go wrong and will be very reliable.
