880 with mw

I am planning on building an 880 motor this winter and possibly putting the 3 7/8 m&w turbo domes in place of the stock pistons. I know that the compression of the 880 is 7.3:1. I was wondering if anyone knew what the compression will be with the m&ws? Any help is appreciated.

extreme tractor is working on a piston to bring the compression up to 11 or 12 talk to him about it before you get a new set of pistons and get disappointed.

I think m&w pistons raise the dome but the compression height around the the dome is lower than stock so you gain very little.I also agree 11.1 is around where you want to be for good power.

how do I get in touch with the folks at extreme tractor, and what exactly are they working on? also, according to my calculations, if I offset ground the crank to fit the early 77 rods with these pistons, that would bring the piston way out of the top of the block. Is that correct? Any help is appreciated. I am trying to get the most hp out of this motor at a reasonable price.

I did this set up several years ago it brings thecompresion hight flush with the top of the block and the dome fit nice in the head i think it brought the piston up 1/8 in with totel of a1/4 in stroke its not abig stroker but it was a very respectable running tractor
