I know we talked about shaving the block, but I thought everyone plained their head , you here of guys taking 80 ,90 ,100 thou. off their heads. And you said that you need your deck to be .300 thick to last .What do you mean by that. thanks

Measure how thick the plate surface of the head actually is. At one of the oval water ports, it needs to stay .300 thick or more, no less to hold up in "working" conditions.

What ever is beyond .300, you can safely machine off. Some, you can shave .125 off, some, only .025.

Chad are you working on his h and mattys allis . I think matty would have a unfair advantage getting a farmall man to work on the allis but maybe thats what mark 20 wants is a advantage. be the same if i was workingon a farmall it would never run well enough to beat a allis. no one to blame just prefference . lol mitch.

Been talking about a M,,,,,

Lots of tractors can get by an Allis. HAHA!

Did you get the big one running yet? Chad
