JD 4430 pulling

They are as good as the driver, and how they are setup, hitch and tires, along with the proper weight placement. They can be very competitive if setup correctly.

I'll agree. With the wet clutch and quad range transmission I think they're quite a bit stouter than starting with a 4010. To get a 4010 to hold any power, you have to buy a 2 disk clutch which in most cases buying it and the bigger input shaft its about 3 grand, then you dont have a working pto for farmstock. I've heard by turning up the pressure, the wet clutch will hold up good, if thats not good enough you can make them a 4 or 5 disk cheap. If it has the quad range transmission you can shift on the go like a IH can with their torque amplifier, which is also beneficial, and comes from the factory with an a pump. They are coming down in price now that you can afford to buy one easier than 6 or 8 years ago, you can find one for 4020 prices. What transmission is in it and is it open station, what classes to pull in?

with a syncro 8 they do OK if lightened up, quad runs them into the 1X66/1X86 and the 4440/4640s and they will not run with any of those.
