What can be done to a dc case to make decent power for cheap? decent power as in still in stock class

For cheap, a good dyno tune, replace the zenith carb with a marvel schebler off a 400-7-800 rebuild the carb and install a 830 venturi. A 4 in bore in good shape should give you 45 HP at about 1100 rpm. mel

haha very funny... We have to have something to put those 16.9's on you know! but if we can get a good deal on this one i think we will try it out.

Just checking up on this thread Dboll, we took the big DC down to the pistons out the other night, are going to take the block out and get the crank magged and look the block over then do custom rods , light pistons, more cam, lighter valves and a much bigger carb. Call as time permits, we must keep in touch, ? did you find your starter gear you broke? We are going to a decompressor setup as in the early powercell engines to start our DC as drives are impossible to keep in one piece. Later, mEl
