All that over a Farmall H???? LMAO! Thanks guys, I needed a good laugh this week!! Im sorry the posts got messed up on the modern side over it!! A good puller is what ever you make out of it, if its a lawn mower, a truck, a car, or a tractor, a semi truck, whatever it is, it has to pull to be in the money.

I pull a Good Farmall H. I built it myself in our shop.

How about you guys and gals out there?? What you pull?

Im tired today,, Id just rather let the tractor do the talking to you when it comes to the last post,,, if it wins,, it wins,, if it dont it dont, but we had fun doing it. I can say that, the pullers around here are good people! And they will hand it to ya when if your not on your game.

So, lets hear what you pullers pull, and where your from and share a story on your pulling if you want. Its for fun, so why not huh? My story will come to follow. ChadS

Well Chad, I have pulled anything from a cub cadet to a 1066. Only IH though. I currently pull a 340 utility in the #5000 class on a cement dead weight pull and quite often pull either a BN, 460 diesel, or 450 gas in antique pulls. Sometimes do great others, well, I participate. A poor day of pulling beats a great day of work on any day. I currently have a 1950 super A my six year old and I are rebuilding. Sure could use some tips to make it competitive in the #3000 antique class legally. Do you recommend any particular engine rebuild kits. I think I am going to need a c113 block as well as someone welded the old one. I appreciate any help.

Dad & I call our outfit, "Hansen's Old Orange Iron". Surprise, surprise, we pull A-C Bs, Cs, & WCs. Currently year to date in our club standings we are leading the 3000lb.[also have another tractor in 3rd place],3500lb.[also have another tractor in 2nd place],and 4000lb.classes.We are in 2nd in the 2500lb. class and 4th in the 4500lb. but just 20 points out of 1st, with three pulls to go. We've got some great pullers of all colors in our club & we're just having a freaky particularly good year with our orange tractors!Kip

My father and I pull a 50 JD A in the 5000-6500# classes, a 50 JD G in the 6500-7500# classes, and a 56 JD 820 in the 7500-10500# modified classes. That is a a nice tractor you pull.

The 820 that we pull with my father brought out of Texas. Last year the frame cracked under radiator. My father had the frame welded and redesigned the front weight bracket. This year he discovered the the first gear reduction shaft was bent causing gear to hit cover. He brought the tractor that way and did not know it. Also will fixing the shaft he found that the alxe bearings were going bad. Just the nature of "playing" with a pulling tractor.

Hey Chad I've never seen you pull but I've watched the posts on here and you must be doing something right or you wouldn't be messing up the whinny's minds so bad
I pull a WC and when I'm getting beat I'm just another guy puttin money in the pot for somebody else But when I win I'm cheatin
I've said it before if all you're interested in is winning this is the wrong sport
cause anybody can win or lose on a given day
If I pull down the track and nothin breaks or falls off a 64 year old machine then it's a winner
keep doing what you're doing and just throw dirt in their wheaties !
By the way I pull in Tennessee

I got spanked real good at a no scale "King of the Hill" pull last night. there was this dairy farmer with an old 1030 case that he had hung about 6000 lbs on along with loaded tires. even with the weight box all the way up in 50 ft and a chain under the pan he took it all the way. I got about 40 ft with my 9000 at about 11400 lbs. It was good to see the old guy get that big trophy though.

I pull a 52 Super A and a 40 B and the I have Tisco parts in them. The B pulls real good! But I got my Butt stomped by 2 C's that I beat 3 times this summer! I beat them from 1ft to 20ft and at the last pull they got me by 16ft and 6ft! They had hard sharp tires and mine are newer and soft and I had the weight wrong which didn't matters either. Drop me a line if you want!Email is open.

Chad, we have a Farmall 460 with a 291 and some crazy big 18.4-34 tires ! Bought it that way. I love this old tractor... been cutting the lugs down with a wood plainer. Just recently put a stock cam back in the engine (someone put a crazy huge cam in it) . Also, we have a Ford with a 4 cylinder turbo diesel. The Ford is a riot... endless power

However, I like all brands and would love to mess with a Oliver and JD. Those 2 cylinders really knock me out with their built-in "traction control"... ie- pulsating tires.

Sometimes,,,,, Been having internet problems thru the servers in this area, and on dial up,, Just now got it all working again. Im flooded with mail that comes in dated from like 3-4 weeks ago, just now coming in. I got what you need, and proof of it, so I need to speak with you ASAP for the details. 574-893-7437, [email protected] ChadS

Built in traction control! Im working on a 58 JD 620 to dead weight pull with next year. Had alot of A JD's,,, had a pair of long dash A's, Had a 44 B, had a 43 A that I spent alot of time on,,, It was sad, but it ran alright after it was done. Hand start, nope, never again on that,, electric start or nothin. LOL!

I drove a pair of WC's down the track 2 weeks ago. One had the small tires and one was modified with 38's. Engines were a little underpowered but good runs none the less! Both were styled WC's, one had a 17 engine ,and the other one we built with a stroker and got ironed out and running well. Its comming along! Was in 2nd gear with it 5 mph,, and was good till the last 5 or 6 feet when it really pulled down and had to let up on it. But, a nice ride it was on that pair of AC WC's. Chad

BIG JD'S!! I know where a nice 80 Diesil is for sale not to far from me,,, Nice tin, good tires, and looks like it had been running for a while. My old 43 JD A had 2 bent rods and a frsh .045 overbore in it when I bought it. Seemed easier to rotate after I got them straighter. We had a 730 gas thats been in the family for 25 years. Never been apart. ChadS

Halloween is coming up,,,, it could be the great pumpkin kinda season!!! Pay attention on the track and go get em!

I pull with a 52 JD G. This summer while at a transfer sled pull I had a Spark plug go bad I pulled the sled 144 feet on one cylinder. I would have liked to have done better but I still had fun.

Tractor pulling is dangerous. I have 47 M Farmall 4 inch bore Fire crater pistons, fresh off the farm. Don't know how many hours on it or years for that matter. 45 horse on the dyno. Recently our tractor club took some tractors to Hamilton Ill to the old Thrashers show. They had a demonstraton pull for show only. I hooked the M to the sled. 113 feet. As she was slowing down I was thinking. How can I get more power out of this thing? I got home my wife said "Youre gonna what" Guess I won't. Really fun. Bernie Stefen

Im 17 and i pull a 38' B JD that my uncle build up for me a few years back. this last winter i worked all the bugs out of it and tryed some new stuff(built a manifold, shortened rockers- on the pushrod side). I took it to as many pulls as i could this summer and had alot of fun.

we pull 5 a's, 2 G's and a 4320..john deere of course..ranging from 48hp to 145hp, and all in between. depends on the pull which one we take

I had points in my H, the screw came loose that holds the point contacts, and it had a real bad misfire, got a second place out of that run, so I guess it wasnt too bad. What plugs do you run in the G? Chad

Dont ever sell your first tractor. I still have my first one, a 53 Super H. Had since dad got it for me when I was 13 or so,,, but grew up on a JD 730. Is your 38 B a long frame B? Chad

Pulling can be dangerous. Ive got a 50 M that I have had some fun with. Its painted green and yellow. cant miss that one in a crowd of hundreds! Chad

Shag, Your showing those C's that the little guy, who doesnt know he is a litle guy, can do great big things! Chad

I have just seen a nice set of custom made pistons for the 153 power unit, and I was thinking they bolt in a B,,,, could be wrong though,,, We do some ashpalt deadweight pulling too. Street pulling is the common term here. AC's dominate the light classes. I know a fella that runs a 656 ute and he does very well with it. Chad
