Hey everyone... just kinda curious who all is from Kansas that posts here and pulls. Just wondering where everyone is from, etc etc.

I myself am from Lawrence, and currently in the process of building a 1949 John Deere A to pull.

Kyle

I am in FAR SW Kansas - Rolla. We have quite a few pullers down here - kind of slop over into the panhandle of Oklahoma.
I can probably count 25 down here real easy. Not bad for su. Usually have 75 -80 tractors at a pull.
Some of the guys bring 2-3 tractors - but lots of fun.
I have relatives around Baldwin and Vinland

Ken - Sounds pretty cool!! Whats the names of the relatives? I might possibly know them. I live fairly close to the vinland area. I'm just south of Lawrence a few miles.

Relatives were named Nichols,Hoskinson, McPheeters and Andrews. I haven't seen any for years- would like to get back and see some
Have a nephew in Baldwin- Ed Wasson
We have a son in KC but don't slow down when we get to Lawrence & Baldwin area.
Need to stop some time.

Sounds cool!! Whats the name?

Ken - None of those names seem to ring a bell. I was born and raised in this area and awfully suprised I haven't heard the name. But... at 26 i'm still fairly young, so... I may not have.

(quoted from post at 09:42:26 05/23/08) Pamela, How long have you been pulling around here?!

Off and on since I was 15. I'm now 26. I havent been out much the past couple years. Still attend all of them of course, but.... just havent pulled. My uncle and I had a 48 A that we shared duties on, but, he decided to sell that tractor awhile back. I purchased my current 49 A from a neighbor who had it sitting in a tree line. Its in the process of being transformed. So... hopefully in the next couple years we'll be back at it again. It just all depends on how deep I wanna dig into the wallet :D

I'm sure I've seen you around at the pulls. There doesnt seem to be as many girls/women wanting to be involved anymore. I think its neat that you and the few others show the interest still!!

Well that sounds good! Yeah I've been going to these things since I was born basically! I started pulling my dad's old tractor when he got a something else a few years ago! What's the first pull your going to this year?!

Thats awsome! The first antique pull probably Lawrence, unless there is something sooner. I havent had time to really find out dates and stuff like that yet. But the first big pull I'm going to is the Outlaws in Garnett on the 26th of July, then forsure the big one here in lawrence the the Missouri State guys put on the 2nd of August, then the big one in McLouth the 3rd of August. It just can't get here soon enough! :D

Yeah, the first antique pull I know around here is in Bonner Springs on July 12. There's a few in Missouri we are going to in June, but nothin around here!

Thats cool. I forgot all about the Bonner Pull. We went to it a couple years ago..... might have to make my way up to it this year if I remember it. So, are you still in school, out of school or beyond school, haha.

(quoted from post at 17:22:33 05/24/08) Well I was born and raised in Lawrence too, but I turned out a K-Stater!! lol

lol..... well yeah..... but... my dad played baseball and 2 years of football at KU, so... it was always a KU household, so.. it just stuck with me.
