Looking to paint an MF 1090 loader. to mount on MF 7495, red for the boom, black or gray mounting frame. Where do I get the paint? and what type should I use? Enamel? Should I take something red off the tractor to match it?

Your MF dealer should be able to tell you the correct factory paint for that tractor. Why not just use that? You will never be able to correctly match the faded tractor paint whatever you try. I tried to computer match the paint on a 2 year old trailer once. That was a total mistake and waste of time and money.

I have some experience with that. Just understand that if you use equipment paint from the dealer that your loader will look faded and dull compared to your tractor in under two years.

The color red is the most prone to fade. Rustoleum Farm and Implement paint is pretty good for enamel however it will fade faster than automotive paint. It just comes down to cost and your needs. If you can keep the tractor out of the sun when not using it the enamel may last 15 years before it noticeably fades. An automotive paint may last twice as long even kept outside.

Yesterdays store has Tallmans here , which I think about the best you can get for your tractor . Take a look , cant beat it for the money on the chassis, brushed or roller flows out better than anything to date for me.
