Disc mower caddy

Anyone use a disc mower caddy? Ur thoughts ?
Out west you don't see them much, im thinking bout ordering one.
Any info on which manufacturer is best ?
 

Havent used one yet but am in the market for one

Youll get more answers if you post this in the implement section rather than paint and body work
 


It has been probably a couple years since this topic came up. I remember that almost all responses were favorable to caddies.
 
Have an Ogden caddy. Bought that brand 'cause it was the only one around here.

Anyway, love it. Instead of fighting the disc mower hooking it up...back up, put in the drawbar hitch pin, hook up the pto and 2 hydraulic hoses, raise the jack, grease everything and I'm
ready to go. Mine has a set of arms that mimic the 3 point tractor arms so I can raise the whole mower. Not a feature I was shopping for, but this one had it, and I'm glad I got it...Have
some creeks I need to cross, the ability to raise the whole mower keeps me from dragging bottom as I cross.

Removes the weight from the tractor lift arms too.

I have a SweettTractors Fort disc mower that I use on a Farmall 544 with fast hitch. I have the three-point conversion arms, but because to their lack of left-to-right swing, they are difficult to connect to the mower. Furthermore, because the fast hitch does not raise as high as a three-point hitch, the mower does not seat properly in transportation. How much are these caddies cost, and can they be used with any kind of disc mower?
 

Mower caddies are a bit pricy, $5-6000 for new
Some have a cylinder to raise the mowers frame and some are fixed, it depends on what brand mower one has but Id probably purchase one with lift capacity so it could be used with any mower

There are several brands available
