If hardener is bad for you, what about animals getting

I have heard hardener isn't good for you. So, how do you protect you animals and from drifting into the house? Or does the stuff not go far from your area of painting?

I mean I can put the dogs and cats into the house, close the windows, but do I have to worry more than that? What if it drifts I to the garden?

If you can smell the paint in the air it's harmful. Now, there are hardeners made for oil based paints that aren't near as dangerous as those made for automotive paints. On those by the time it drifts very far it's so thinned by clean air the effects would be negligible. Plus, by the time it goes very far it would have dried. The hardener for automotive paints is what you especially need to be careful of. On those you need to wear a suit with gloves and use an air supplied respirator.

I dont use hardeners un less you got to get it out of the shop that day .
