Painting radiator shutters

Hi,
Does anyone have a technique for painting radiator shutters and not have them stuck into position after?

If you use radiator paint it should be thin enough to not cause issues.

I got my shutters clean and working real smooth first, then hung them up and sprayed JD green. There's a lot of angles to get them all painted with no skips.

They work good - cable controlled now. I flipped them upside down so I could use the original linkage lever.
