John Deere 1947 Model D Paint colour or no paint?

Hi everyone,
My questions are to do a truly accurate restoration on a 47 model D. What parts and pieces were not painted green??
For example: wiring, carb parts, starter, gen.
Does anyone have some historically correct info regarding the paint of these tractors?

Everything is painted green on them. If I had new wires I would not paint
them. Magneto is not painted.

While I was rehabbing my 901 Ford I watched ebay for sales literature with genuine color photographs, and I finally found one so I have direct evidence. The earliest color that I have seen is from around 1947 so if you found one from the early fifties it would be as close to authoritative as you would probably find. Whatever you do, be sure to paint the starter and generator green. Black ones are a common error on all brands

Wheels and hubs were yellow. There are claims that some 2-cyl tractors had yellow fans, but I'm not sure when or what. When
young, we had a '46 A and a '37 & '46 D and I don't remember any yellow fans.

Thanks David,
So wires, starter, carb, all those parts were green from your experience? The fan I have been told was painted green and then after all the green was on they would reach in and paint the one side of the fan yellow with a brush but thats not a guarantee.

Here you are, Actual color photographs as opposed to colorized.
Any part that you want to know the correct color for just give a shout.
