Body filler

Is there a preferred brand of body filler you guys use on tractor sheet metal? I have read that the filler tends to crack from vibration on old tractors. I thought that would only happen if you use it too thick, as in trying to fill dents without hammering them out first. Figured I'd ask, in case there is a certain brand...

I like evercoat too but use mostly bondo just because you can get it at walmart.

If filler cracks it's caused by something else than vibrations. You are correct, usually when it cracks it's because somebody put too much on too fast. Some people put it on an inch thick and that is too much, especially in one application. It's best to hammer out the metal as best as you can and use a thin layer of filler. If you just have to put it on thick then put it on about 1/4" thick at a time and press some fiberglass cloth into the filler. The cloth will help prevent cracks
