Clear not curing

Used Majic tractor truck and implement exterior oil base enamel. Let sit over 30 days paint was dry. Used Majic clear coat high gloss lacquer. Still tacky 45 days later

Enamel was cured over a year old. Car was wet sanded cleaned Sat at least 30 days before clear was put on

It's not your answer but you shouldn't put lacquer over enamel. The solvent in the lacquer can lift enamel like putting paint stripper on it. Lacquer contains acetone and methanol which are very hot solvents. The only reason I can think of which would cause the
lacquer not to dry is the product was defective. Try the lacquer on something clean like a piece of steel and see if it dries. If it doesn't quickly dry they probably put way too much retarder thinner in the paint. If you were saying you put lacquer over an old enamel finish there could have been chemicals there which would cause the lacquer not to dry but not a new finish. I had an employee chemically strip a piece of
furniture and didn't rinse the remover off very good. When I put a lacquer sealer over it, it took two weeks to dry instead of 10 minutes. After it did dry though I sanded it and the topcoat dried normally. We were refinishing furniture really cheap for an antique
dealer and it didn't merit starting over.

If it were me I would just let the paint sit and see if it eventually dries. I believe if it does you can sand the dirt out of it and put another coat of good lacquer over the top. The only other option is to strip all of it off and start over. If you go that route use urethane over the enamel instead of lacquer.

I do not have any more ideas, sorry about what happened.

Majic has a pretty bad reputation. The reputation was enough for me not to try it.
