Medal restore

Has any one use this stuff I believe it is cslled Medal Restore. It says it cleans steel up like new and I have a tank that I was thing of trying it on. Thanks.

If that is what it's called they picked a terrible name. Try looking it up and all you get is software repair. The product you are looking for is probably just phosphoric acid or the main ingredient is that.

I didn't notice the spelling. You google it and you get Bare-Metal Restore. You look it up and you get "Bare-metal restore is a technique in the field of data recovery and restoration where the backed up data is available in a form that allows one to restore a computer system from "bare metal", i.e. without any requirements as to previously installed software or operating system".

If all you are doing is trying to clean rust off bare metal it would probably be cheaper to use phosphoric acid. That would do a good job killing the rust. You just need to be prepared to prime it soon after you get the metal clean and dry. Epoxy primer is probably the best to keep rust from coming back. It has a recoat window though, you usually have to topcoat it within 8 hours or you have to prime again. Just be sure to read the instructions on what ever product you buy.
