wheel holder

I'm not a painter, in fact, I don't like to paint, so I'll make any excuse to avoid it. Here's my attempt to stall from painting some wheels. In using this configuration I realized that I need to modify it to allow me to spray at the proper angle and distance. I'm gonna change it to make each wheel sit at a 45 degree angle from the main support and then the wheels will be at 90 degrees from each other. That will allow me to spray straight into the back side of the wheel without any body contortions on my part. The base of the stand looks tiny in the picture. It is actually a concrete filled Buick brake drum, and it makes a very stable support.

I wish I had seen that before I started. That fits every wheel center. I've got an old traffic cone out in the shed. Thanks for the idea.

Here's a contraption I made to clean up a set of Super M wheels. The wheel goes round and round with angle grinder, sand blaster and prime/paint.
