up date of decal removal

Purchased a "rubber" wheel from car quest. Works wonders on decal removal. >>Discovered that it also helps remove silicone that some one hade used to calk joints. <<
!!!! For peace of mind >>>>""NEVER""<< use silicone THROUGH IT AWAY it is the worst material on the market might look good but NEVER closes the joint. THERE IS a product that may be purchased from roofing company supply outlets. The name was Kop-r-lastic. there is an up date of this now. It has a rubber component in it. it will last for 20 plus years when installed properly and evenly. Small joint, let dry; then spread a second layer for bigger joints.
This is the best calking out there.
Thank you again for the information re removing decals.

glad it worked out for you. we have been using them at the shop for quite a while. they do work good!

glennster, I have always hated to throw anything away, saved a bunch to the used eraser wheels when they got small enough not to be safe on the paint. My Kubota's mower deck rattled against the at top stops when I was pulling roller or spraying with it, drove me nuts! I used 4 of them and made some rubber bumpers that contacted the deck when all the way up. Have a bunch for spares if needed.

With that stud kind of like the old adjustable hood bumper stops. We worked on a lot of Sheriffs and State police cars the eraser tool sure saved a lot of time on those large decals, usually had to strip a whole side every time.
