I bid a job today painting a fence for someone and wondered if I bid it anywhere near what the going rate might be. The fence is already painted and 90% of it is good enough to just recoat with a little sanding. Then there is spots where rust is showing that will need to be cleaned better and primed. I've painted a residential iron fence before but none like this.
About half the job is all pipe and half has a cable which won't be painted. I bid it for about two dollars a lineal foot.
