Primer

I am getting ready to paint a canopy and have already bought the Agco paint. What would you guys recommend for primer? I want the bolts painted as well so I was thinking prime it all in pieces, paint the mating surfaces with some rattle can paint and assemble. Then paint the entire canopy assembled. Thoughts?

Get the primer where you got the paint as they must be compatible.

That is not true, primer and paint are separate product.

Get a good 2K primer, I like the NAPA.

You can get a good primer anywhere but they still must be compatible. You would not want rustoleum under automotive lacquer.

Make sure the primer you use is compatible with the paint. If it's not the paint could peal off the primer.
