Brillion rotary shreader

Do you have a small part with reasonably descent paint on it that you could remove? You could wet sand it with 400 grit paper to remove the surface oxidation and put clear coating on it. Then that could be used as a sample for a paint company to computer color match it.

Our old Brillion 6 ft pull type rotary shredder ( bushhog ) was faded and not really that old, but about the same red as New Holland red. Everybody in the neighborhood had one. On 1-1/2 miles of our road there were at least 4-5 of them.

Don't hook it up to a 95 hp tractor and go flying thru 3-4 ft tall grass/weeds about 6 mph with grade 8 bolts in place of the grade 2 shear bolts. Dad always bought me the cheapest weakest 5/16" all threaded bolts for shear bolts and still I could break them with my Super H. Dad hooked his 4010 on it to mow some grass/weeds around the buildings, needed live pto. He would shear those cheap bolts engaging the pto! Quick trip to town for grade 8's, got carried away and twisted the output shaft off flush with the oil seal at the bottom of the gearbox. An expensive Opps.

thanks for the help with my shreader. There aint one square inch of paint left that I can find! Ill go with the new holland red. Ill be pulling it with my 55 WD45. Its got a regular bolt in it for shear pin.

I'm glad you picked a color you can live with. I looked online and there was only one place that sold Brillion paint which had discontinued it.
