I have finally gotten around to restoring the 1940 John Deere A that my dad and uncle bought brand new.

The problem is, there were so many paint schemes for the John Deere A, I can't figure out exactly what it would have looked like originally. For instance, I was told some cooling fan blades were painted yellow and some were green. Also, the raised letters ("John Deere") on the rear axle housing were sometimes yellow, sometimes green...

I'm not having much luck looking it up on the web. Are there any resources out there for figuring out this kind of thing?

The fan blades facing the engine, were hand painted until 1945, the backside towards the radiator was green. The John Deere on the rear axle were also painted yellow.
