Red Korea Tank Liner Stained My Paint Job

I accidentally let my gas tank (painted with iron guard white paint with added Hardner two years ago) sit in a pool of excess red kote tank liner while I was letting it dry on a shelf. I was able to peel the semi hardened red kote off of the painted hood, but it left a pink colored stain on the white paint. Is there a way to remove the stain or will I have to sand that area of the hood and repaint it?

(quoted from post at 07:33:18 01/10/18) I believe this came up before and the
consensus was repaint.

Ok. Thought I had asked couldn't remember. I was hoping for a miracle cleaner. Haha. Thank you!

If Red Kote is chemical resistant to hold up against today's gasoline I don't think you will be able to clean it off with anything. It's more chemical resistant than the paint. The paint would lift before you could get the Red Kote off. I think the best you can hope for is to sand it off before going through the primer.

Worst case, contact the manufacturer for their recommendations. But that is cheating, like reading the directions.
