Just purchased a 1968 M-M and would like to polish it back to original. What do you recommend
we use ? Thanks Jeff

First thing is clear rust converter. Otherwise no matter what else you do and how well you protect it, the rust, as little as it may be, will be slowly creeping under that nice old paint, slowly lifting it.

The surface of paint dries out and gets porous. If the original paint is in good condition you can help it by cleaning it up, wet sanding it and then clear coat it. The fresh clear coat will keep the original paint from deteriorating further.
