I know that it sounds like a foolish idea, but the situation is that I have repaired the cracks in a vinyl dashboard on my old Datsun roadster. I got it shaped and smoothed out well with Bumper Bite, and coated with flexible textured paint. I want to topcoat it with a satin finish coat but it has to be smoother in order for that to work. Now this is something that I have done in the past but I can't remember how or even what I was working on. I rubbed the primer coat with something that smoothed it without sanding.it just knocked the tiny higher points down with slight pressure.
